Eileen Armstrong-Watson BSc (Hons) Pod. MChs HPC
Eileen studied at the Durham School of Podiatric Medicine gaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Podiatry with honours. She is a podiatrist who adheres to very strict clinical protocols to ensure the safety of all the people she treats. Eileen is a friendly and professional practitioner who is delighted to have been asked to grow a rural base in Northumberland within the beautiful surrounds of Calverley Clinic.

What is Podiatry?
Podiatry is the treatment of the foot and lower limb and is derived from Greek 'pod' meaning feet, and 'iatros' meaning physician.
A podiatrist can be helpful in the postural alignment of the knee, hip and back. A podiatrist is the only medical specialist educated, trained, licensed, and certified for exclusive treatment of the foot and ankle. Podiatrists also play a critical role in the care, treatment and management of the diabetic, the older person and those with circulation impairment.

Chiropody is the maintenance of routine foot care.
Eileen is qualified to treat and manage any foot disorder you may have.

Treatments available:
• Athlete’s foot • Bunions and hammer toes • Corns and callous • Verrucas • In-growing toe nails • Nail care • Achilles tendonitis • Diabetes • Shin splints • Flat feet • Heel pain/plantar fasciitis • Knee instability • Postural back pain • Aching and tired feet • Biomechanics of the foot and leg • Orthotic inserts and insoles
